42degrees

Set and log your home wall.

42degrees is made for home walls, spray walls and boards: the ones in cellars, garages and spare rooms, set by the people who climb on them.

Photograph your wall

  • One photo of your wall is your canvas
  • Straighten it like in your photo app: tilt, vertical and horizontal perspective, so a wall shot from the crash pad looks straight on
  • Trim it to just the wall, so every hold is big enough to tap
  • New volume? Add a photo and keep every boulder
  • Moved the holds? Reset the wall. The old boulders go to its archive with every send, and you can still log sends on them

Set boulders in seconds

  • Tap holds to circle them as start, hand, foot or finish, and mark which hand goes where
  • Rules as switches: open feet, kickboard, no feet on wood holds, no matching, no volumes
  • Circuits with no top, climbed for laps
  • A name, a grade on a slider in Font or V, tags like crimps, slopers, pinches or dyno, and a note with the beta
  • Keep it as a draft only you can see, and publish it when it is ready
  • Change the holds of a boulder people have sent and it becomes a new version, so their sends still count for what they climbed

Log your sends

  • Attempts, or laps on a circuit, the day and a note
  • A moment for every send: a bolt for a flash, and a first ascent when you are the first to top it
  • Add a YouTube or Vimeo link, right away or once the video is up
  • Give your own grade. Once three climbers agree, theirs becomes the grade, and the setter's stays beside it
  • Bookmark your projects; a send ticks them off

Find the one you want

  • Every boulder shows its own picture, cut from the wall, and a colour-coded grade
  • Filter by grade, tag, setter, not sent yet, your projects or your drafts; sort by newest, grade or most sent
  • Swipe from one boulder to the next
  • Open a boulder and its holds light up in climbing order
  • See how many new boulders were set since you last looked

Climb with friends

  • Invite people with a code: they set and climb, or just climb
  • Everyone sees every boulder and every send under their username, and who set what
  • Share beta in the comments on each boulder
  • See who else is projecting the same problem
  • Send any boulder to a chat as a picture, holds circled
  • Owners see who is on the wall, stop codes, change roles and remove people

Works in the cellar

  • Everything is on your phone and works without signal
  • Backs up when you are online, so a new phone gets it all back
  • Deleted something by mistake? Undo

Made with care

  • Light and dark mode
  • Large text and reduced motion respected
  • No ads, no tracking, your data never sold, stored in the EU

Free for home walls

Setting, logging and sharing are free, with up to 20 climbers on your walls, and the people you share with never pay. Gyms and clubs get their own plan later.

A paid Pro version will add statistics, hold analysis and automatic hold recognition; everyone here before it arrives gets six months of it free.
